Sorry to give up on uiq3, well not entirley, I am still using my p990 and p1 but am now focusing on s60 as its simply more up to date, check out my current blog at www.s60ninja.wordpress.com

TreeTools is evolving!

TreeTools is evolving. I am currently in the proccess of completing a website to host a TreeTools download. New features include the ability to note londitude and latitude of the tree and im working on saving a waypoint so this can be used to locate the tree. Clearing and saving output for refference at a later time. The app has been predominantly made for s60 but a uiq3 version will be made available.

The app itself stil requires some small trweaks, and screen shots, links and downloads will be posted on here and at the website when it's released. stay tuned. i would also like to take this oppertunity to remind anyone that is using previous versions of tree tools that there is likley an error with the mathmatical equation casiong the RPA to be in correct. this has been fixed in the new version. allong with many other improvments. thanks for looking and stay tuned to find out a release date.

Broadcast LIVE for anywhere (data costs apply but you can use wifi), and your video instantly apears on line. if you do what i have and put the html code on your blog or web site then you can either stream live to your website of show the last recorded video, pretty awsome huh

Error in Tree Tools

Please be aware if you are using Tree Tools there are errors and a corrected/ expanded version will be available soon. please check back here soon.

TreeTools For UIQ3, Arboricultural Tool box.

This is a revision of DBHcalc with additional features, which are:

- Calculate DBH (Diameter at Breast Height)
- Calculate Height (This is a form used in conjunction with a tool known as a clinometer which is a tool for accurately measuring the height of a tree, eliminating the need to manually calculate)
- Calculate Precautionary area (used in relation to construction in proximity to trees, relating also to NJUG 10)
- Calculate RPA Single Stem (Calculate the Root Protection Area of a single stem tree. according to BS:5837 Trees in relation to construction)
- Calculate RPA MultiStem below 1.5mtrs (Calculate the Root Protection Area of a multi stem tree. breaking below 1.5mtrs from ground level, according to BS:5837 Trees in relation to construction)

Hope that this some how is of use to others maybe if you are intending to make a drive way or dig, buid a wall or do any kind of work close to trees.

Root protection areas are intended to allow maximum protection of trees whil work is carried out in proximity to trees. for more on this google BS:5837
